my camera gear, more compact now

In the hopes of travelling light whilst still carrying enough of what I need when travelling and doing photography, I sold my Lowepro CompuRover AW and replaced it with a Kata 3N1-10 bag. This is the smallest of the three versions available from Kata.

So far, I can fit all these in:
- D300 body with the 18-55mm attached
- Tokina 11-16mm
- Sb600 flash
- blower
- shutter release
- Acer Aspire One netbook (yes it does go in there too)
- Gitzo GT0541 with Markins Q3 head attached to the outside of the bag
- a few filters

The nice thing about it is that they all only weigh *drum rolls* five kilos. Yes only five kilos.

And the cool thing about this bag is that you can actually use it as a sling bag when you need to shoot  and convert it to a backpack when you just want to carry stuff around.

I'd need to pack in a few more things into the bag of course:
- battery charger
- external HDD

But that shouldn't add that much more weight to the bag.

No more bulky Lowepro CompuRover AW for me. Kata is my way to go. And the bag is pretty small too.

At the moment I'm still trying to sell my:
- Hyperdrive Colorspace (by Sanho), the 80GB one
- Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod plus the 804RC2 head
- Velbon CX 560 (carry case included)

And hopefully I'll be staying away from shopping camera gear for a while.

This setup will hopefully be tested in the few coming months.
